Elena began her career as a normal member of the army. Due to her excellence in the position assigned to her, and for following orders flawlessly, she was given a promotion to the rank of Turk. She accepted this promotion with little thought, because she was eager to prove herself to the higher-ups. It has always been her goal to be appreciated for hard work and dedication, because she has never really stood out.
Witin her domestic life, she was never given much credit for her accomplishments. Her two older brothers became sucessful merchants and smiths, eventually elevating to the upperclass due to their success. Elena was never expected to do much with her life, besides get married and have children. The level of success that her two older brothers attained did not help much. Therefore, in order to prove to everyone that she was capable of more than her given destiny, she joined the army.
Elena is a strict work-aholic, and dedicates her whole being to her job. She has no tolerence for laxity, simply because she feels as though she hasn't the room to be sloppy. At times she is seen as being overly dedicated, and has the tendancy to take her orders too seriously...expecially when it comes to Turk leader Tseng.
